FDIC Transaction Account Guarantee Program

Hyperion Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program (TAGP) which has been extended through December 31, 2010. All non-interest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the TAGP is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

TAGP also includes Negotiable Order of Withdrawal (NOW) accounts with interest rates not exceeding 0.50% and interest on Lawyer's Trust Accounts (IOLTA's). Hyperion Bank has not committed to this rate restriction. Based on our current rates, funds held in NOW accounts continue to be insured only up to $250,000.
