Norris Square Neighborhood Project (NSNP) Receives Grant for Siempre Adelante! Change-Maker Campaign

The Norris Square Neighborhood Project has been awarded a grant from the Hyperion Bank Community Chest Fund (HBCCF) to support educational and neighborhood facilities improvement. The mission of NSNP is to nurture and actively involve neighborhood children and their families in learning responsibility for self, culture, community and environment.

Executive Director Reed Davaz McGowan, stated "Our mission is perfectly aligned with that of Hyperion Bank's Community Chest Fund by providing residents of the Kensington community with quality youth and community leadership development programs".

Suzanne Salsbury-Mooney, President/CEO of Hyperion Bank's Community Chest Fund went on to say, "It is imperative for us to support programs within our community that serve residents of all ages and make connections with the arts and in this case urban gardening to beautify our neighborhood".

Norris Square Neighborhood Project is a community-driven, bilingual learning center in North Philadelphia that offers innovative youth and community programming including after school programs for youth K-8th grades, arts and media programs for youth 14-19, urban gardening and a year round CSA for community residents of all ages.
