Charles B. Crawford Jr.
(CEO & Chairman)

Charles "Charlie" Crawford joined Hyperion Bank on August 7, 2017. A champion of community banking for more than three decades, Charlie previously founded three successful community banks. He launched his banking career in New York City, after earning a B.A. degree in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. degree in Management from its Wharton School in 1985. Charlie received an MBA degree from Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business, which honored him in 2011 with its Alumni Award for Entrepreneurship, and also graduated from the Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Banking. Consistent with his community focus, he has served on many nonprofit boards, including Georgia State University, The Carter Center, the Georgia Tennis Foundation, the Atlanta History Center and more. Charlie is an avid tennis player and runner who has completed 15 marathons.

Steven B. Atlass
(Founding Director)

Mr. Atlass founded the Cambridge Companies, located in Radnor, PA in 1999. Cambridge purchases financially troubled businesses (often relating to senior housing or pediatric care), rehabilitates, and continues to operate them. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute and Chairman of the Abramson Cancer Center Development Council at the University of Pennsylvania. He has a B.S. from Elmira College.

Louis J. DeCesare, Jr.
(President & COO)

Mr. DeCesare was born and raised in the Philadelphia market, attending Lower Moreland High School and LaSalle University  (B.S. in Business Administration and MBA). Prior to joining Hyperion Bank, he was Chief Lending Officer of VIST Bank and before that,  President and Chief Operating Officer at Republic First Bank.

Virginia M. Duffy
(Chair-Audit Committee)

Ms. Duffy is an attorney practicing in Abington, Pennsylvania. She is a director of Hearts and Smiles Foundation, a non-profit corporation providing assistance to low-income families with special-needs in Philadelphia and surrounding counties. She received her B.A. from St. Francis University and her J.D. from Temple University.

Ronald M. Soldo
(Chair-Loan Committee & Compensation)

Mr. Soldo is President and owner of OHP, Inc. (formerly Olympic Horticultural Products) in Mainland, Pennsylvania which is involved in horticultural marketing. He also recently started a new company; X-Calibur Plant Health Company based in Summerville, SC, a manufacturer of specialty fertilizer for commercial nurseries. Mr. Soldo received a B.A. in Economics from Rollins College and a MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Advisory Board of St. Mary's Villa for Children (orphanage), and serves as Chairman of the Bank's Compensation Committee.

Troy T. Taylor
(Vice Chairman)

Mr. Taylor is the Founder and President of Algon Group. He has 25 years of experience that combines investment banking, restructuring (Chapter11 both in and out of court) and senior management. He has served as the Chief Restructuring Officer, Chief Executive Officer, or Lead Financial Advisor in a broad range of industries including manufacturing, distribution, hospitality, real estate, and retail. He has also been an investor in more than 20 private companies and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of numerous public and private companies. Mr. Taylor holds an M.B.A and a B.S., cum laude, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a Sustaining Member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Michael J. Purcell

Mr. Purcell has more than thirty-six (36) years of professional experience with Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he served as the Philadelphia Office leader of Deloitte's middle-market and growth enterprise services. Some of the clients Mr. Purcell has served during his career include Comcast Corporation, QVC, Tyco, Day and Zimmermann, Asplundh Tree Company, GSI Commerce, Immunicon and Morphotek. He has particular significant experience with audit/finance committees and Board of Directors, and deep experience in accounting and auditing; financial reporting; mergers and acquisitions; and capital sourcing and due diligence. As a Value Creation Partner - Finance for the New Spring Capital Family of Funds, Mr. Purcell provides advice and recommendations for management consideration regarding new investment opportunities and assists New Spring's management with operational, financial and strategic due diligence. Mr. Purcell also serves or has served in the past as interim and acting CFO for several private companies.
