Joel Higdon is Hyperion’s Chief Retail Officer, based in its Atlanta banking office. He joined the bank in July 2020 as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager, later adding Vice President to his titles. In his current role he oversees retail strategy, branch performance and client experience initiatives as the bank continues a period of disciplined growth. With more than two decades of customer service experience – including 10 years in banking as a Personal Banker, Retail Banker, Branch Manager and senior retail leader – Joel is known for his relationship-driven approach and commitment to delivering high-touch service.

As a key member of Hyperion’s leadership team, Joel plays an important role in strengthening customer relationships and supporting retail teams across the franchise. He says, “I believe in providing first-class service and building meaningful relationships with each customer. I want to be one of the reasons for the success of our customers and the bank alike.”

A Georgia native, Joel graduated from Georgia State University, resides in Brookhaven and enjoys spending time outdoors.
